The Brooke is the UK’s leading overseas equine welfare charity and their aim is to improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules working in the poorest parts of the world. These animals form the backbone of the economy in many developing countries, supporting countless poor communities where many people earn less than a dollar a day.
The Brooke’s mobile vet teams and community animal health workers, and their partner organisations worldwide, provide free treatment to animals and train animal owners, local healers, farriers, saddlers, feed sellers, harness and cart makers. They currently operate across nine countries in Asia, Africa, Central America and the Middle East.
Their vision is that by 2016, Brooke will have increased the number of working animals they reach from 700,000 to the five million suffering horses, donkeys and mules who need their help most in the world.

Educate our audience by informing them of the facts
Create change in policy, legislation and practice by influencing decision-makers
Promote human health by advocating non-animal scientific methods and positive social change

Since 1979, Outreach International has been working with the world’s poor to help them build better lives for themselves. Their mission is simple: help the poor help themselves. Their purpose is equally straightforward: to help men and women in poor communities overcome the effects of poverty and create new futures for themselves and their communities.
Experience and evaluation have taught them that the most effective way we can help the poor is to work with them to develop the skills and resources that will enable them to transform their lives and their communities.

Since its foundation in 1989 as the World Wide Land Conservation Trust, the World Land Trust has been working to preserve the world's most biologically important and threatened lands, and has helped purchase and protect over 375,000 acres of habitats rich in wildlife, in Asia, Central and South America and the UK.
The mission of the World Land Trust is:
To protect and sustainably manage natural ecosystems of the world. To conserve their biodiversity, with emphasis on threatened habitats and endangered species;
To develop partnerships with local individuals, communities and organisations to engage support and commitment among the people who live in project areas;
To raise awareness, in the UK and elsewhere, of the need for conservation, to improve understanding and generate support through education, information and fundraising.
